Training needs always take priority when scheduling model appointments.
Results are not guaranteed and may differ from full-price treatments performed by a qualified permanent makeup artist.
Minor asymmetry, colour variation, incomplete pigment retention, or other imperfections are not considered a fault.
The model voluntarily accepts to undergo this procedure, knowing that it is part of a training process.
The procedure may require additional correction or enhancement by a qualified professional at the model’s own discretion and cost.
The model accepts that permanent makeup is an artistic procedure, not an exact science, and results may vary depending on individual skin type, healing process, lifestyle, and aftercare.
Personal BelongingsClients, students, and models are responsible for the safety of their personal belongings while on the premises.
Pigment.lab Academy provides lockers where available for the temporary storage of personal items. Any items placed outside designated storage areas are left at the owner's own risk.

Clients, students, and models are advised not to bring valuables to their appointment or training session.
Risks and ComplicationsThe model acknowledges that complications are possible, particularly if pre- or post-care instructions are not followed. Possible risks include, but are not limited to:
- Redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising
- Allergic reactions
- Uneven pigment retention, colour fading, or blurring
- Scarring or infection
- Cold sore outbreak (for lip procedures)
- Pigment migration
- Dissatisfaction with shape, colour, or overall result
The model confirms that they have informed the tutor of all relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, or contraindications prior to the procedure.
The model understands that results vary and no guarantee is made regarding the final healed appearance.
The initial session includes only the first treatment. A follow-up or touch-up session is a separate procedure and must be booked and paid for independently.
Touch-ups or corrections are not included in the initial treatment unless explicitly agreed in writing.
Healed results appear softer and lighter, typically
30–40 days after the procedure.
A minimum downtime of
two (2) weeks is required post-treatment. During this period, the model agrees to avoid cosmetic treatments, active skincare, excessive exercise, saunas, sun exposure, or any activity that may interfere with proper healing.
Pigment.lab and its trainers will exercise reasonable care, hygiene standards, and professional supervision during the treatment.
However, variations in aesthetic outcome, pigment retention, or healed results are not considered a breach of duty of care.
Pigment.lab Academy shall not be held liable for aesthetic dissatisfaction, colour variation, healing differences, or other outcome variations inherent to permanent makeup procedures.
Acceptance of Terms
By attending the appointment, the model confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.

The requirement for a patch test (for health and safety and compliance purposes), will be specified in the Course information provided to the Student.
The Academy regulations require all students to be well presented at all times. This means that they should be in uniform, hair should be neatly tied back and out of the face, no jewellery, all piercings removed for health & safety purposes, and fingernails cut short and to be clean. Personal hygiene standards should be adhered to.
All Students will be required to wear the appropriate uniform for their Course and for every lesson when they are in attendance at the School. Lockers PolicyLockers must be kept clean and tidy at all times. Students use their padlocks for the lockers and bring all personal belongings to the school at their own risk. The School does not accept legal responsibility for any loss or damage to these items. If a student loses a key for the padlock to the locker, she/he/they will have to pay £10 towards replicating spare key. If a student leaves their belongings in a locker overnight, the school has the right to remove belongings. The Student can claim the belongings removed by the school at the school’s admin office for up to two weeks after we remove them. After this time, the school will not be responsible for the belongings.
Students are advised that jewellery, valuables, or cash must not be brought into the School as the School cannot be held responsible for the safe storage and safe keeping of property belonging to Students and cannot be held responsible for any loss.

If you would like your VTCT certificate sent by post, please arrange a courier collection and provide us with the details (courier name, collection date, and reference number). We’ll ensure your certificate is ready and handed over to the courier at the scheduled time. Alternatively, you are very welcome to collect your certificate in person from the studio.
Students will be expected to be in attendance and ready for class before the time scheduled for the class to start. Students who arrive late in class will be marked absent in the register for that class. Classes will not be delayed for latecomers and teachers are not responsible for repeating work/Course content which may have been missed.
Latecomers may be requested to wait until a suitable break in teaching before entering a class. If a Student is late on three (3) separate occasions, that conduct will be classed as a breach of the School’s regulations and that may result in disciplinary action.
It is not the responsibility of the Academy or individual teachers to provide additional teaching hours for Students to ‘catch up’ on education missed due to lateness or absenteeism for whatever reason.
